  • For 24 hours post extraction, don’t rinse, spit gently & eat soft foods which are not too hot or spicy. Avoid the extraction site while brushing & flossing
  • A surgeon will prescribe rest for 48-72 hours to relax post the treatment so the area can clot. The soft tissue will usually fully heal in about 3-4 weeks.
  • For at least 24 hours after your tooth extraction, you should consume only soft foods and liquids like ice cream & yoghurt. Ease into a normal diet when you feel comfortable doing so.
  • Yes, getting a tooth pulled can hurt but the dentist will administer local anaesthesia during the procedure and prescribe pain killers for after.
